Coming In Hot (Out Of The Oven): We’re Serving Up A Weekly Pizza Run

A New York City staple, pizza signifies a lot of things. For instance, your favorite toppings—savory pepperoni, spicy sausage, extra cheese—speak to your personality. And so does your consumption method: do you use a fork and knife? Do you dive in fingers first? Do you fold your slice into an aerodynamic capsule so it can be consumed as quickly as possible? And, of course, there’s the hotly debated thin-crust versus deep-dish standoff.

Whatever your stance on the aspects above—if you love anchovies, if you use the napkin-blotting technique, if you opt for gluten-free crust—we invite you to join our new weekly pizza run out of our Upper West Side store. Date: Every Tuesday Time: 6:30 PM Location: JackRabbit Upper West Side (140 W. 72nd Street) Pace: Easy/conversational Distance: 3-4 miles Our first pizza pavement-pounding charge will be Tuesday, Sept. 8. We’ll run first, then savor some slices—mmmm!

How Fast Can You Run One Mile?

Ah, high school gym class. The intense dodgeball games, the highly anticipated badminton unit, and the school-wide volleyball tournament that warranted multiple absences from social studies. And if your formative years were anything like ours, chances are you faced the mile run as part of a physical fitness test. Whether you have fond memories or hope to forget the experience all together, you can redefine those 5,280 feet this month at our Monday Mile Trial.

We’re Joining The #MilesChangeYou Campaign with Mizuno and Back on My Feet

Stride after stride, mile after mile, running sparks some serious changes. No matter how big or small, each step transforms us and helps us become better. We love running’s positive impact, and we’re thrilled to partner with Mizuno and Back on My Feet (BoMF) during the month of April for the #MilesChangeYou campaign:  For each pair of Mizuno shoes sold at JackRabbit, Mizuno will donate $10 to BoMF, a national nonprofit organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness transform their lives and achieve independent living through employment, housing, education, and job training opportunities.
