Swim Level I - Efficient Technique, Mondays AM
This program is for anyone who wants to be a better swimmer. The goal of this course is to go through all elements of the swim stroke to help you become as efficient as possible. For triathletes we will also practice mass starts sighting and other triathlon specific skills. In addition head coach John Stewart will provide one or two workouts and drills for you to do on your own so you maintain a good feel for the water in between classes.
Each week we will focus on a different part of the stroke with drills and exercises, then combine those skills with lap swims focused on technique. For triathletes, we will also practice mass starts, sighting, and other triathlon specific skills. In addition, John will provide one or two workouts and drills for you to do on your own so you maintain a good feel for the water inbetween classes. At the end of this class you'll feel much more comfortable in the water, much more in control of your swimming, and much, much faster. This class is NOT for beginners and we suggest that folks looking to participate in this program MUST already able to swim 2 lengths of the pool in some semblance of the freestyle/crawl stroke without rest (regardless of speed, or lack thereof) and be able to tread water.

When: This 11-week program begins Monday, January 14th thru April 15th from 7am - 8am, with with NO scheduled class Feb 4th, March 18th or March 25th.
Where/When: SeaHorse Fitness is located at 69 Columbia Street, NYC, 10002, in Manhattan's Lower East Side and is a short walk from the F, J, M or Z trains and the Delancey St subway stop. The M14 bus will drop you off right in front of the facility.
